Hi Guys, I've got cabin fever because of all the storms we have had recently here. But things are clearing up and will be nice this weekend so I want to go camping. Anyone else want to join me? There are tons of good spots up Spring City canyon that I found each time I went up between storms.

If no one can go, I'll probably just stay home, have a fire in the back yard and chat with the neighbors. But if I can round up a few people to go, I'll do Dutch Oven goodness! :) Email or PM me if interested in doing something this weekend. I know it's a holiday and all but still, the weather will be perfect for a jaunt up the canyon. :)

:grumpy: I never went to Utah before, never will, at this rate, double:grumpy: ness. I'm just kidding, have lots of fun man, I hope you get a big group of people to hang out with. If I may ask, is this canyon of which you speak THE GRAND CANYON, mayhaps, or a new discovery of yours? All the best from the Himalayan Imports Cantina, if I may be so bold and presumptuous as to speak for all of us Cantina-goers, and be safe. Sandstone monsters...they're out there...lurkin'...somewhere...I don't know where, but they're out there somewhere...obviously kidding again. Post some pictures, please, when you get back. And...Peace.

David, thanks for the well wishes! This is Spring City canyon, one close to my house and not the grand canyon. Though I would love to go there some day. Will definantly take pics, even if I have to use my camera phone. I say that because the weekend before last I was up Spring City canyon scouting and forgot my camera. Will pull the pictures off my phone in a little while from that trip and post them in another thread. Thanks!!

Depending on the weather, we may be camping/4 wheeling up in the Fairview area (not too far away). I'm keeping my fingers crossed the weather improves! Good luck!

Yeah, it's cool man. Us chill peeps just do how we do, you know it, and it always be good stuff. Okay, enough 'hood talk, I'll be looking for your updates. And as for your other post in the Becker Machax thread, don't worry about me talking smack again. I used to get real into these 'anti factory made knives rants', but, I have to admit, the ergonomics of the handles are impressive in Kabar knives, and I understand now that different steel is made for different applications, which I so very much did not understand before (I don't even know what I used to think about steel, but, nonetheless, it was WRONG). So yeah, I just wanted to let you know that I'm through with hating on Kabar. They do have pretty astounding customer service, so I am told, and a apparently well deserved fan base. I'll see you later, man. Peace.

Where up Fairview canyon do you plan on going? There's still tons of snow near and on top. From my investigations up Spring City cayon, you are safe around 7,500 feet and possibly up to about 8,000 feet but it's cold and snowy above that. Gosh, I need to spend more time up there... ;)

David, thanks for the comments. :) Was carrying my Kabar Mule folder for the last few days. It handled everything from slicing Sharp chedder cheese to webbing with ease. Is really comfortable in my hands also. Got a Camillus made BK9 Combat Bowie, a Kabar made Becker Necker BK11, aKabar made BK2 Magnum Camp on order and will be getting the old BK6 Patrol Machete pass-around knife in the mail in the next few days. Them be good stuff!! Am planning to take the BK6 on my campout. Found tons of dead fall at the Spring City camp ground the last 2 times I was there and some looked perfect for the BK6.

I actually am very attracted to the BK6, I hope my LONGINGS are reciprocated...sniff sniff.... Tehe, anyway, yeah, I am completely liking the way its half bellied, although I don't fully remember the picture in my mind, perhaps I should stalk it some more, and hope it will NOTICE ME! *Crazy laughter* Okay, I'm done, I'll see you all later. Peace.
David
