Who was/is T.D. Wood?

Greetings. I have a Randall model 2-7 with the name T.D. Wood stamped on the back of the blade, along with the year 1978. Can anyone tell me who T.D. Wood was? Or was this type of name stamping done to customize the blade? Thank you.
 
It's an etched name, personalization, something often seen on RMK's from the sixties through the eighties. As to T.D. Wood, Google is your friend. Hope that helps.
 
Thank you. I was wondering if Mr. Wood was perhaps associated with Randall knives in some way. Google, of course, turns up many results with this name, but far too much to sift through meaninfully. So, if it was simply a personalization for this knife , that answers my question.
