Who wears suspenders?

I do yard work on the side. Being 51 yo and having a 38 waist makes for some uncomfortable moments. Recently a friend told me about wearing suspenders for work. Let me tell you they are real comfortable. Belts never quite fit right. Either my waist is too high or too low, I don't know. But suspenders make bending over alot easier. A belt now seem just too confining and uncomfortable.
Anybody else?

can't hang my holsters off of suspenders so I have to pass on them but please tell you you wear red, or green or blue...any color but these....

One of my employees was seriously into handguns, and even on the job, he wore belt and suspenders.

I don't wear them often, mostly in the winter along with a belt, for the gear I normally wear on that belt. I have red suspenders, and also yellow suspenders with yardstick markings - Liar's Suspenders for fishermen! :)

I just started. I lost about 20 pounds from my hospital stay and didn't want to buy all new dress pants for work. My kids laughed at me (figures), but I told them they were very cool (OK, back in the '80s. LOL) They do work amazingly well!

I wear suspenders when I'm working in the yard. I use the kind that look like a shoulder holster and clip onto the side belt loops instead of clamp on.

I actually have an extra set, if you want them you can have them COOP, just PM me.

I have some and though I don't wear them a lot, when I do, they're very comfortable, especially combined with jeans that fit a little big.

My daughter makes fun of me, and won't let herself be seen in public with me, when I wear them.

he wore belt and suspenders.

Always reminds me of 2 things.

Justin Wilson, the late Cajun chef, said he wore both because he used to be a "safety engineer".

There was also a Clint Eastwood Henry Fonda movie, who had another character say to him "Well, you can trust me". Hank, looking the guy over, and noting the other man had on both a belt and suspenders, said "How can I trust a man who doesn't even trust his own pants".

I have that line come to mind every time I see someone wearing both...

A lot of sawyers (lumberjacks for you plainsmen and other flatlanders) swear by a good set of suspenders while sawing. They offer increased back support while performing manual labor, especially with heavy power tools.

Also do some daily situps to build your back strength.

And then Fonda shot him.

Now that I think about it, Fonda may have shot him and then made the comment -- anyone know for sure?
