I posted a thread awhile back mentioning a Sebenza I got in trade. It has a custom G10 scale but I got the original scale with it as well. The previous owner attempted to drill holes in the original to lighten it and it's kind of a mess. I was wondering if anyone works on these things and if theres anyone out there that could salvage this scale for me. Thanks!

Give CRK a call and explain your situation...I think you will find that they are reasonable people.

Out of curiosity, could you post a pic of the original scale?

I did send them an email explaining it. They responded very quickly and the woman who replied said that since the original scale had been replaced it might effect the warranty but any problems would be taken on a case-by-case basis. She said new scales are $100. I'd love to post some pics but I'm not sure how to do it on here as I'm not a paying member. I could take a couple tomorrow and email em to anyone if they want to see them. The aftermarket scale was very nicely done. I don't anticipate having any problems with it at all. But it would be nice to have the original scale as a functional back up.

You could also talk to STR on his subforum. Click on the "maker's" forum and you'll find it. He does some pretty amazing work.

Obviously CRK is the likely first option.

I think for the $100 straight from CRK that would be your cheapest option and a guarantee that it will remain under warranty for the future.

I have a similar issue with one of my benchmade griptilians, it has a cutout in the blade, benchmade says they can replace it for $25 plus shipping and it'll be just like new and back under the warranty cloud.

Cool thanks for the info. I think I'm going to try to sell it first. If I can't I'll probably get a new scale.
