Any of you guys work out? How much? What kinds of excersises? Just curious. I do about 45min-1 hr. weightlifting, and an hour of cardio, including like pushups, situps, and a half mile hard run. Everyday, except saturdays and sundays. No family and lots of time on hands. What about you guys?

I lift weights (free weights) and do cardio. Although I could do some more cardio and it wouldn't hurt, but I hate it. :D

Tuesday - Upper
Thursday - Lower
Saturday - Upper
Sunday - Lower

That's the basic breakdown with different exercises for each day for different muscle groups.

A local police officer somehow had an entire gym worth of equipment donated to him. So he opened a gym up for local law enforcement, medical, and fire units. $15 a month to cover basic expenses, and it's a pretty nice place.

I go to the local gym on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: 40 minutes on Exercycle holding heartrate at 136, 2 sets on each weight machine, 30 minutes on rowing machine, 2 sets on each weight machine, 30 min on elliptical holding heart rate at 130. MWFSu are 20+ mile bicycling days with a local group.

It helps being retired.

ps: We have an 81 year old in our biking group who started mountain biking @ 60. In the over 60 classification he is a 3 time world champion and won his 9th national championship last year.

I AM in shape.

"Round" is a shape.

I run anywhere from 10-25 miles per week depending on how much is on my plate any given month. I also try to do thirty pushups and three sets on my free weights every day. I have a two year old daughter and two jobs so I kind of fit it in when I can. I keep the weights where my daughter plays so when I watch her every couple hours I can pick them up and do a set.

65 years old, work out about 3-4 times a week with free weights. Used to be able to do some pretty heavy lifting, but at this age any small injury takes a lot longer to heal. Every now and then I try to perform a personal best, but these days it can be a disappointment. Trying to maintain a 300# bench and a 400# squat.

Cardio from walking and hiking. My son is an Eagle Scout and with 2 dogs we have done quite a bit in the great outdoors.

I'm 65 and still actively employed in police work. I mostly ride my bike, but I have a bowflex machine to keep a little resistance exercise in the mix.
Since I had a little roto-rooter job and some stents in the old ticker a few years ago, I've been advised not to push the heart-rate much past the "aerobic training range", but I have not had any problems since the stents.

Just as a matter of terminology, I much prefer the older "aerobic" to the newer "cardio". I don't know when the terms morphed, but aerobic implies the involvement of the entire cardiovascular system which is in fact the goal.
"cardio" sounds to me like trying to isolate the heart, which is just the pump, after all.
Likely an individual quirk.....
