Besides me that is:D. Maybe even a 15in to fill out the family? If you don't have one I strongly suggest you put one, in any size available, toward the top of your wish list. I have the 20in AK, the 18in Sirupati, the BGRS,and the BAS by HI as well and they are works of art but the Chitlangi eclipses them all :D.
Does anyone else want to see a family of sizes in the Dui Chirra Chitlangi? Maybe if enough of us want them Uncle Bill can get the Kami's to make some.

Patrick,
you sure know how to get folks to read your posts! The Chitlangi is already on my list.

Pat, I definitely would buy one. Didn't Uncle get some 18" in one time? Seem to remember not all of them were 21". Have all the chitlangis had wood handles, or were some of them horn? Speaking of chainpuri style handles hows about a Gelbu Special with one? Or a Kobra?:D Damn, my list is outgrowing my meager means! I wish we'd quit being creative and not dream up all this @!#$ I think I can't live without. I didn't know that kuhks could be such a strain on my marriage! See ya , Steve Miller

I did get some 18 inchers but I didn't order them. The kamis make and send what they please when they please. Pala and Gelbu say yes but mean no. The Nepali shipping staff ships to whomever they please, at any address they pull out of the hat -- that is IF they can find time in between their gossiping to get anything at all done. Some postal machine broke at our mailing service so the shipment today had to go thru the main PO -- over an hour.

Let's see. Smoothsale quit and my old shopping site vanished overnight with no warning whatsover. My old mailing service went out of business and the PO here won't forward my mail to my new mailing service.

Two domestic and one international shipment appear to be lost.

We are sold out of 7 or 8 models and the kamis are sitting around drinking rum and then dancing when they get drunk enough and complaining because we won't pay them a salary rather than piece work.

It's Heineken time!!!!!!!!

Greetings all, This will be my first post after much lurking, but I couldn't pass up a post on chitlangis when mine just arrived. :D
I will go ahead and say that everything I read about them is true! This is one awesome khuk! Double fullers, engraving, brass inlay, a nicely decorated sheath and NICE karda and chakma. And a Durba at that. I am just finishing the rouge cleanup with Murphys oil soap and a soft toothbrush and finding nice wood at that. It will go above the 20 inch AK and WW2 on my wall. Hmmmm. I still have room left........;)

Sorry to hear about your labor issues. But surely you exaggerate. I have always recieved my ordered khuks in excellent time and with no problems, and the quality is always there. Drunk and dancing or not, nobody else makes the kind of 'living' blades the kamis of HI do! Wish I could afford to buy a dozen at a time.
Definitely must have more Chitlangi! I am naming my 21in Durba 'Orcrist' after a sword in 'The Hobbit'. Tolkien translates it to mean 'Goblin-Cleaver' and it seems a perfect description of a Chitlang!
