Until recently I thought...probably much like everyone else around here, that Dylan just sat around fondling knives and playing on his phone all day. You know...much like he does at Blade... And that he just had his little minions slaving away in the shop making these bad ass knives...

But recently I got the chance to see the man behind Fletcher Knives in action...

As it turns out he really does work, and work hard to produce this very high quality cutlery, doing some pretty damned complex grinding.

Though I did notice he sometimes forgets whether he is grinding a knife...or grinding an axe ;)

It was awesome getting to see you in action brother, keep on keepin' on! As soon as I get out of the red and into the black, we are going to have to discuss the Delta Recurve further, or maybe one of those tapered 24/7s :)

For any that didn't catch it...though I thought it was obvious, yes I am very much so just giving Dylan a hard time. The man has an uncanny knack for producing blades with excellent balance, sublime ergonomics, wicked grinds, scary sharp edges, and serious intent. He makes awesome knives.

I have put some through hell, starting about five years ago, and loved the performance.

This Pro 6-5 has gone where I have gone for the last four years, From SE Tennessee, to South Florida, to Northern Michigan, and lots of places in between

Dylan Fletcher is one of a handful of knife makers I trust with my life in the middle of nowhere.

I just couldn't help but give the man a hard time... :D

This is awesome! Dylan makes incredible knives. Now that we have a physical store I have been able to put his knives in peoples hands, and they sell well! His knives are designed to be used and feel good in the hand.

This is a great thread Brian, all the pics really show his knives very well!

It's always good to see a few action shots of Dylan putting the velvet touch on his knives!!
#thevelvettouch for those on Instagram.

WOW! i freakin love the spine filing within the handle on those knives. freakin killer

Great pics, Brian!

Thanks Kris!

Thanks man. I have been telling people about Dylan's awesome knives for years now. I get to test and use a LOT of knives from a lot of makers and companies. I don't keep the Pro 6-5 close at hand always just because I like Dylan, I keep it close at hand because I have faith in it to perform as I need it to, regardless of where I go. It's small, comfortable, discrete, and capable. It goes where I go...until I replace it with the new 24/7 model he is doing these days.

Thanks P, but yeah...I'm just not going down a road that involves Dylan and a velvet touch ;)

Yeah, Dylan's file work is looking awesome! One of my goals for the future is a Delta 4 recurve with a brier vine spine :)

Great to see Dylan working!

This forum needs some livening up. If you have more pictures, I'd love to see them.
