And I thought my 119 1-liner was the bomb.........I had a 124 a few years ago and liked it but not enough to keep it. Since then I've picked up a few of the earlier fixed blades and wanted to add an older 124 to the collection. To me, there's just something about the 124. Last week I picked up this older 124 with sheath and wow!!!.....what a knife!! The handle on this is definitely more streamlined than the newer one I had and it feels perfect in the hand. (Think I got a pretty good deal at $180 shipped.)Going to send it to buck for a SPA treatment and then take it to the woods for some fun.

Not sure what the pinned stainless plate was for. Nameplate maybe?

Yup, I like the new ones OK but there's just something about the oldies. I'm getting to be more of a vintage guy as I get older. Cast iron or carbon steel, wool, leather, etc.

very nice Sir. great grab.

I like the older handle size better than new. it appears it should be a better use size. I only have new ones so it's a visual appearance like, not from use by myself.
