So I decide to go to the store yesterday after work, and of course, I miss the mailman.

After a quick trip to the post office this morning, the 18" AK is now in my hands.

Unable to wait until I got home, I opened the box at the first red light. The person next to me I think freaked out a little bit. (Coronach, ignore that APB on a Machete wielding loony in an 88' Beretta heading northbound on High Street

After a brief stop at the hardware store to get some epoxy and hi-grit sandpaper, I was able to really play with it before I had to go back to work. I set up the box it came in, and decided to give it a slash, promptly sending the box across the house. I was about 2-3" from completely severing the box in half. Color me impressed

Thanks Uncle for the great deal. With a little TLC, this will be one awesome blade.

p.s. look for a more interesting review after I get back from camping

Tom, if Ray says the handle will outlast you then you have nothing to worry about. Ray has maybe 45 HI khukuri and has had most of them for over ten years. He knows more about them than I do.
