As a little kid I used to sit in Clyde Fischer garage and watch him make knives. My older brother and one of Clyde's sons went to high school together in the late 70's. I never got around to getting one of his knives, then I heard he had died. My wife was looking for a cool X-mas gift for me. One of her business partners recommended a custom knife from Sammy Fischer (one of Clyde's son's). Well she managed to keep it secret from me until Sammy called to leave a message that he had an item for her ready.

I ended up getting a Pro Hunter 9" overall length with a Mexican Ebony handle, 440 C drop point blade and a nickel guard for $250. Man, it is beatiful, I am now getting him to get me a sheath.

I collect them when I can. I have several and just missed getting a large bowie by Clyde last year by about an hour. The man that had it went home early without selling it and the others could not remember how to contact him.
I really respected Clyde and liked his knives and his outlook on life. I miss the old goat.
I didn't know that Sammy was making knives. Can you get me a contact? I got something in mind.

email me your contact info and I will contact Mr. Fischer. He is using his dad's equiment. I will email a pic of mine

My brother has several Bowies he collects them when he can. I think he got the last Bowie for $125 because the seller was unfamiliar with the maker. Sammy has added a dot in front of the fish logo to signify it is him.

my email address is
jerry@fisk-knives.com
I knew he had gotten the equipment just did not know he was making. Good deal.
