Hey Folks-

Just wanted to post a note that I now have a web-site. I think Mitch Lum did a great job! :)

There's just a few little things to button up...shop pics, more knives in the gallery, etc.

I'd appreciate any feed-back if you could take a minute to look.

Thanks! :D

Great web site!
Beautiful knives shown well.

The only problem is...

there are no knives in the "Available" section.!! :p

Hey Nick,

AFTER you finish my knives, you should just head straight to Hollywood to make your fortune, after all Brad Pitt is getting a little long in the tooth. :D Seriously, you better lose that photo. Who the heck would buy a knife from a young whippersnapper like you? Tell Mitch to dust off the photoshop program, and create a REAL knifemaker photo of you! A photographic blend of Fisk and Fitch, should do the the trick!

Best of luck!

Peter

Great site Nick - pity about that ugly bloke on the home page though :D ... otherwise its perfect!

Very Nice. Just need to see something on that Available link from time to time.

Wonderful addition to the web! Good construction--uncluttered, fast, and easy to navigate. I like a photo of whom I deal with, so that was a smart choice including your mug on the 'homey' page. ;)

Congrats!

Nice clean website. Easy to navigate. Nice BIG photos! (I hate those pix with "Click here to enlarge" and a 1.45 inch thumbnail "enlarges" to a 1.50 inch photo!)

Only complaint (which, as many know) I have about 95% of all makers' sites -- NO PRICES! :grumpy: Not even a "Range $400-$800, depending on materials" kind of hint.

Prices "define" your target market immediately and save a lot of time for collector and maker alike. :)

For those makers who still believe that "...well, if the collector is really interested he'll contact me..." answer me this: why do online knife dealers have a price tag on every knife they have for sale?

And that other old chestnut: "If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it." ROFLMAO! I know a couple of young guys worth millions - and the first thing they ask for is the price!

Sums up my thoughts very well.

This is somehting that I think would benifit collectors and yourself very much. Better give a hint then how much is this knife from this comic book, movie or imaginative blade is going to cost. JMO

It is also very easily viewed by dial up also which is a plus for us low tech (see cheap) types.

About friggin time you got a website. :p

Yep. :p Better late than never though, and nicely done!

Peter, the "Oh my God, Nick is a kid!" shock wears off after a while. :p

great site! Funny thing is Jason still dont have email! He is adding an "available" link soon.... keep posted!

Hey Guys, THANKS!!!

I don't know who the guy on the homepage is. It's like when you buy a picture frame and there's some dork on a cheesy paper photo in there already....

Danbo, do you know how many pleathers had to be killed for that jacket??? Well, actually it really is cow :)

The pricing thing is something I was having fits over. I really couldn't decide if I should have them listed or not.

Now that you mention it, I personally do not think everyone would contact me were they interested in a similar piece. I myself would probably not.

So typing, say, "POR, but if you have to request it, you cannot afford it." Would be in bad taste? HAHAHAHA, sorry, bad joke.

I actually heard a maker tell a potential customer that at a show once: "Excuse me sir, how much is this knife?" answer, "Don't worry about it, you coudln't afford it anyway."

Instantly lost all respect for that guy!

Well, THANK YOU ALL for taking the time to look and let me know your thoughts. It's been quite overdue-

I think Mitch has really done well with the site, and I'm quite proud of it.

Oh, and I actually have tried to plan it out so that I can have a knife available from time to time. Anything from a very very simple slab handled utility, to possibly even a dagger.

And a handful of you fellas that have replied here should soon have knives that will be included in the gallery as well! :)

Thanks :D

Nice job, bud. Looks great. The personal background and construction page are both welcome additions. Oh yeah, the knives in the gallery aren't too shabby either (how much did Dan have to pay you to include his :D )

If I'm not mistaken that knife also graces the pages of the current issue of Tactical Knives. Danbo, ya bastid!

Thanks again folks-

I want to add that I owe much THANKS to Roger Pinnock and Stephen Foster! Both of these fine gentlemen helped me greatly in editing the site and getting it to the point that I feel it projects who I am quite well.

THANK YOU GUYS!!! :D

I received a note from one of you that was curious about people here with knives coming... (because of what I said about upcoming gallery knives).

It's kind of crazy, now that I think about it... Just from the guys that replied to this thread, here's very near future projects (or ones that are 90% done):

Sub-hilt fighter
Damascus hunter
Two matching camp knives each with a matching hunter
Fighter/push dagger set
Danbo's doom bowie
Small fighter
Big hunter
small hunter
Med. Dirk

I left out names for privacy... But WOW, BladeForums has been good to me! :) THANKS!

Nick
