I got my RF1 today and i'm lost for words on how awesome this folder is:thumbup: this thing is so smooth, good looking and sturdy that i'm blown away, it's light but somehow it feels like you can split a anvil with it,

Thank you Daniel for creating pure awesomeness :D:thumbup:

I have been using my RF1 for a bunch of different tasks since i got it, today i have been using it to make feather sticks and a bunch of different wood cutting tasks, i sharpened it just after i got it and the knife is still as sharp as it was on the very first cut  The edge and blade geometry on this knife coupled with the solid handle is so good that i am constantly looking for stuff to cut because the quality of the knife makes it such a blast to use.

But i have one question, what hardness is it on these blades? because the edge retention on these puppies are amazing.

I will get some more pics of the RF1 in action as soon as i get a sunny day.

:D Thanks that is great to hear!

The hardness should be about 61-62 RC based on my heat treat schedule. The blades go through a somewhat special heat treat regimen I have worked out specifically for D2 (or in this case, CPMD2) and maximum conversion in the steel. This gives them great toughness at high hardness. I don't have a RC tester but wouldn't be surprised if they were a solid 62.
