Who's blade is it... Spyder or Kershaw?

The newly produced Spyker (collaboration between Spyderco and Kershaw) had me wondering who's steel makes up the blade.
I was reading replies to one of my posts in the Sog forum -oddly enough about Spydercos- and the posters said that Spyderco compared to Sog used a "higher-grade steel."
So... this begs the question... is it Spyderco's, or Kershaw's steel that makes up the Spyker's blade, and what percantage/parts does each company play in producing that particular model? Is it really 50/50 like the name implies?

Thanks in advance...

If I had to guess, I'd say that Spyderco builds the whole shebang. Design-wise, the blade is Ken Onion, basically straight from the first Bumps, the handle has Spyderco's ergos all over it, and of course there's the Hole.

See, that's what I was thinking, but if it has Ken Onion's design... why didn't they integrate his name instead of Kershaw... like the "SpOnion" :D

Thanks for the quick response... I love you guys...

Is anyone else besides me, tired of seeing Onion's blade shape produced over and over on various production knives?

Customs also, make a damn knife with a different blade shape.

naw, it was just a collaboration between the 2 with a little bit of each to produce something new but you have to admit its not such a bad looking knife....little pricey!

I think you just answered your own question! ;)

Seriously, though... Onion's production knives are exclusive to Kershaw, so it was a Kershaw/Spyderco collab, not Onion/Spyderco, or Onion/Glesser.

Not me.

Ken Onion designs extremely effective cutting tools. And there is quite a bit of variation among them, even if they do tend heavily toward recurves.
