Who's bought the scales for the Becker Necker?

I picked some scales a while back and just got around to putting them on today. Let me tell you, the fit on these things is atrocious. I had to file down the part that fits in the handle just to be able to press them in. Then once I got them on the holes didn't line up so I ran a drill bit through it so I could get the screws threw. Then one I pressed the nuts into place I found out that the screws are too short, and to top it all off I had to take a dremel to the scales just so they would fit flush with the tang.

Is this typical of these scales? Now I wish I would have just sent it off to have custom scales made.

Mine fit perfectly out of the box. I would have just returned them if you had to do that much work for something designed to be a bolt-on part...

If I wouldn't have waited 2 months before getting around to put them on I would have. I didn't realize how bad they were until I had been messing around with them for an hour. The only thing I need to do know is by some longer screws and they'll be done.
