We're staying with friends in Atascadero and since he is the SOB who got me hooked on knives, we're gonna use HIS gas to get there and then look around.

Any BF members attending should wear something distinctive. Maybe a knife in their teeth or a camo bra.

:D

When and where exactley is the show? I would like to go if possible, but I need some details. Thanks Juan

I think that there are enough makers there to make anyone happy.

I completely forgot about it and I even ordered a knife today. Should have waited to see what I find at the show...

I'll be there.

MrKurtz,

What Shaldag failed to mention is that there will be NO dealers there. The show is sponsored by Nordic Knives, a shop with probably more customs for sale than any retail store on the west coast, even the awesome Plaza Cutlery. It is customs only and the makers come by invitation only by my understanding. It is said that a maker has to die before a table opens up. Perhaps this year will see a new maker as the great Buster Warenski is no longer able to make it, rest his soul. I've been going to Nordic Knives for 20 years and only got smart enough to start going to the show a few years ago. Even if I don't have the cash to add a new custom or two to my collection, I'll be there on Saturday. It's worth a few hours drive (about 2 1/2 for me) to see this show.

I'll be the big guy with the Goatee. Hehehe, like there's only one. But seriously, I'll have a USN badge that says Excitable Boy on it. Say hello.

Since I saw his name on the list, anyone going to the show should stop by and chat with Howard Hitchmough at his table. I got a chance to talk to him and his wife at a show in Massachusetts last month. They were super nice and the knives he makes are nothing short of amazing.

Pretty much the whole show is like that.

I've always wanted to go to this show. Its not going to happen for me this year, maybe next year.

I went to this show last year. It is a pretty small show. It has only top of the line custom knives by top makers. Some of the nicest knives I've ever seen. Too high end for me though, everything I like and nothing I can afford!
