Who's going to the New York Custom Knife Show?

I think we already have a thread on this in the Community Center, where it's really more appropriate.

I'll be there Saturday. Don't worry about spending your money. Just enjoy looking and learning and talking to the knifemakers, and to the rest of us knife knuts :D

If you have too much money left over, you can buy us all drinks before we go home :p

I'll be there Friday at the opening, probably just behind Lifter.
I always buy a three day ticket.
I like the idea of the guy with the most money left buys drinks. :D

I'll be there Saturday, but not for the knife show, I'm going to the Christmas Show at Radio City Music Hall with my wife, daughter and a friends/neighbor kid.

ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO SNEAK OVER TO THE NYCKS?

I'm leaving my office in the Village at 11:30 Friday morning, and so I should be in line when the doors open. I'm especially interested in checking out the offerings by Bob Dozier and P.J. Tomes. I'm also in the market for a Sebenza or Mnandi. It is going to be so much fun. :)

See y' all there tomorrow. Come by the Dozier table to say hello.

NOTE: if this venue is a 2 room affair, look for the signs or ask the desk folks in the lobby!

Tell them you got stomach cramps and got to the restroom then sneak a few blocks over to the show. When they ask what took you so long tell them you were on the crapper until things "settled down". Good for about an hour or two. :D

Only have $200.00 to spend so I hope there'll be some nice lesser priced items available. Also looking forward to handling some Bob Lum pieces in person. Anyone else going?
Introduce yourself when you stop by. I'll remember to bring some from my collection. Anything you have a special interest in?

Bob tends to do well on Fridays. Especially this year with his recent article in American Handgunners.

Say hi to everyone for me Tony.. I will miss you guys in NY this year.. Great show to attend.. Have fun all

Gonna miss you too Ida. Bladeart just won't be the same without you behind the table. And no more noise from the cab driver's antics... ;)

Tony, which one is you? I think I saw you before at ECCKS 04
Possibly. I was behind Bob's table on Friday and Saturday.

Tony,

Do you expect to be there on Saturday? Want to drop by, say hello, and offer you a pop to help with the chills.

I just found out yesterday that my last class will be cancelled Friday, so I should be able to get there when the doors open. :D

I will probably spend a good amount of the day there, possibly until closing just droolin over the knives available and deciding what to spend my money on. Oh wait, I mean preventing myself from spending my money. ;)

I am up for the drinks whoever has the most moeny left will be buying. :) It won't be me, thats for sure.
