Who's going to the Queen get together in 2010?

I have been planning on driving up to the Queen get together for several years now, but something always comes up. This year, I spent a couple of days in the hospital with a fatty liver (from fried foods, not booze ). Anyway, I would really like to stop by the Case and GEC factories while I am up there. I would definitely like to pick up a Bose collaboration, cocobolo Queens if available, and lots of GEC slippies, but to see how the knives are assembled would be great.

Anyone going this year to the annual Queen event in July? Anyone been to the Great Eastern or Case factories on a tour? How about the Queen factory?

I've been through the Case factory twice now and it sure gives you a better appreciation for production knives. The big misconception is that these knives are put together by machines....WRONG!!

There's going to be a Customer Appreciation week-end in July at the Case factory, and I'm sure looking forward to attending it again.:thumbup:

The Case event is next year, and GEC is open for tours anytime. Queen is only open to the public one day every two years. The next time will be in 2011.

You can take a virtual tour at the link. It's worth the trip as the knives are made essentially as they were in the early 1900's.
