I have a dictionary close by, but would rather hear useful, people information as opposed to a flat definition.
What, please, is an avatar? There is something about them in the new software, presumably as part of, or an extension of one's signature. But, I just do not know what they are, or what they're for.
Can someone please explain it for me? I'd really appreciate it. By the bye, I love that blue design -- whether it is an avatar or not.

Off the top of my head, "avatars" are an concept from the Hindu religon. An avatar is the physical representation of a god (in human form) in the human world.
An avatar in the forum context is a small picture that is your personal visual respresentation on the forum. In your profile options you can upload a small 50x50 image, and it will be included under your name ever ytime you post.

It's Bram's design. It's a visual representation of a conceptual Arnis move in a Celtic style. I just touched it up a little to my liking. I'm glad you like it!
P.S. - Am I infringing on copyrights by using this? Sal or Bram's opinions would be greatly valued on this.
