Come on. Who's stripping their NMFBM??? I wanna see what it looks like under tehre before I consider doing mine.

I gotta wear the factory coating off first by beating on it first. It might take a while, there's a lot of blade there.

I think I'll eventually end up stipping her though. I'm interested in seeing somebody strip one- I'd like to see what they look like under the coating. Nice and smooth- or hella dimply? (did I really just say "hella"?)
 
My black crinkle peeled in a couple spots. There is 2 layers of coating on mine. You can see 2 distinctive layers.

You sound so hella norcal-ish :D

I am guessing and hoping that there won't be too many dimples.
 
I'm going to strip it when it needs it. Which isn't going to be anytime soon, considering I haven't got mine yet. I don't think they will be very dimply though, since the grind is convex, I believe.
 
I'm betting danged-near-LE quality under that coating. Everything that was rounded is definitely smoothed out. So all you are looking at are the flats of the blade.

C'mon, Ban. Put that baby down and get crackin! LOL
