Who's got an Eagle Talon?

Ok, I've got a 2Hawks Longhunter en queue for daypacking and camping, but now I want something for... fun. Who has a RMJForge Eagle Talon and what do you think of it? What about a ATC Next Gen. Ranger or Lagana? Also, I know they aren't meant for this, but do they throw well? Of course, I know you don't throw your only weapon except in dire circumstances, but I just want to know.

Does anyone have any suggestions for other battle hawks (i.e. spiked hawks)? I am open to new ideas, and right now I am more window shopping than anything, but I am seriously considering getting a battle hawk to keep bedside (beside the shotgun, that is). Thanks for suggestions and comments.

I traded a couple knives for an NG Ranger because I thought that the retail price was too high. It ended up taking a year to finally get the hawk, but I enjoy having it. It chops better than I expected for a hawk that many people tout as a fighter. I'm still not sure how much I like the spike, but it may just take some getting used to.

The NG Ranger certainly seems tough as hell. The machining of the 0-1 head is excellent and the grip on the synthetic shaft is secure in your hand. I don't think that you would ever have to worry about this hawk failing.

One of our hawk forum members has done a lot of throwing with the NG Ranger---up to 100 ft as I recall. You could probably locate the discussion by searching. [He said it throws great.]
