So any of you guys got some pics?

Bruce,
Just the kind of stuff I was looking for. The dogbone of yours is sweet!
Love the style of it. I have to say that one is helping me the most(all are fantastic works!).....my problem is I started with a squareish coffin which I started to round off up front by the ferul.......all seems well up front but now I go to the back of the handle and I'm just not sure how I want to finnish it. seeing the dogbone reafirms some of my ideas.
If you find any more I would love to see them.
How about a close up of your dogbone handle?
Thanks a bunch.

Mace,Thanks for the compliment on the Bowie,Sorry I don't have a close up of the handle. With all the other pictures on the thread I bet you can figure something out now.
Good Luck,
Bruce

Thanks very much guys. All these pics have been great and very helpfull.
Didn't see any thing like the mess I'm making, but gave me some ideas for the transition.
I do have a question: Bruce, on your dogbone and the one by Harvey Dean in Howies reply.....Reg. the transition between the handle material and the ferul....is the handle material NOT flush? As in sticking up a bit?

RogerP,
I have seen the tutorial before and it's fantastic! I met Ron when I took my intro to bladesmithing class and have been a fan of his work ever since.

I really dont NEED any more pics, but I sure dont mind seeing some more.
How about I open up the thread a bit.......lets broaden our horizon to include any "Clasic" type Bowie........can never get enough!
Thanks again
Mace

The ferrule on my Bowie is a hollow one that slides up on the Ivory, like a band of N/S to hold the scales and frame together.Yes my scales are a little higher that the band and the Ivory was smoothed over to make a nice joint,As for Harvey's I cannot speak for him on his construction.
