I do. This is a rough one, first flu in seven or eight years for me, forgot what it felt like. :grumpy:

Catching up on all my war movies, though. I'll finish the Victory At Sea series today, and Ken Burns' PBS The Civil War series will go in tomorrow.

What do you guys do when you're sick?

ps - please remember Christchurch in your prayers. :(

I don't get sick often but when I do, it really puts me down for the count. I dunno if this is the best way to feel better but I'll gobble a bunch of Flexoril.

I don't think I've ever wanted to die more than the last time I had the flu. That was back in 2004. It was at election time and I hadn't been feeling well for a few days, but like a good boy, I went out to vote and ended up standing in line, in the rain for about an hour (and my guy didn't even win...).

I woke up the next morning with about a 102 fever and hallucinations telling me to blow stuff up.

When I'm sick I don't do anything but curl up in a ball and whimper for attention.

This year I got my first flu shot since 1982. No flu so far.

Right now I'm suffering from allergies. Some pollens are already out in metro ATL.

Me too. Whimper for attention and booze. Id rather feel like I did when I "kicked" in jail than be y'alls kinda sick.

Yup. Allergies whipped me all over the place for two weeks before the flu. When the bug hit, I thought it was just worse allergies, 'til the ache started. I'm already arthritic, so the soreness really flattens me during flu.

Makes me wish for the old Theraflu, the full strength stuff with pseudoephidrine & full dose of acetominophine in it. That stuff WORKED. With that stuff, I could actually work when I had the flu. Then they changed it, and the bug just laughs at it now.

My grandmother's solution to being sick with a cold or flu was to take several multi-vitamins, drink several big glasses of orange juice & Smirnoff, and sleep the rest of the day. By day two, she'd be back at work. The kids, on the other hand, would be in bed for four days and miss a week of school.
