man I just did the hole heat treat on three blades of
154CM and forgot to do the file work :( damn
one is paid for and the other has a down on it
that cost me a little time..:(

Happens to me all the time, Dan. I grew up in Maine. Think that has something to do with it??

I Lost mine a long time ago, if anybody sees it, tell him to come home.:D

No worries, I do stupid stuff all the time.

Dan, I caught myself polishing a blade that I never heat treated. Finally figured out why it was going so quick. Only mistake I ever made, well only one I could remember......

The forum doesn't have enough space for me to type out all the stupid things I've done. Don't sweat it Dan, your no nuttier than the rest of us.

My Dad says:

If Alzheimers means going to the store for 4 items and coming home with 3, then I've had it since I was 11.

How about finishing a hidden tang knife and finding out you haven't done the blade edges yet?

Steve

Dan, that's why they make things like diamond files.I love diamonds , they cut anything , even sharpen carbide drill bits.

Dan: One has to have one before one can lost one.  :p :p The only gray matter that you have is in your last name. HEHEHE!!!!!

you know what they say,, a mind is a terrible thing to waste
U C I'm ahead of the game ..:D

Dan,
I have done "filework" on a hardened blade with a dremel tool. It is very unforgiving but it is not that difficult to do. I figure if I can do it, anyone can.

Craig

"The mind is a terrible thing to waste..." ???
I thought the saying was simply :
"THE MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING";)

I'll just finish these later and make new ones and remember to
do it this time. it will be faster in the long run I think
because of the type file work that has to be on one of them.

thanks guys :)

As the old joke goes when the fella was first told that he had cancer and then told he had alzheimer's, he replied "Well, at least I don't have cancer..."
