Mine should be landing tomorrow and it's gonna need some pants...Which of our resident sheath masters have plans to make some?

I'm thinking probably Kydex, a pancake with the front open from the belly up seems like it would work for an easy draw.

As soon as mine gets here I will be making both Huck and Huck Fin sheaths in my Exposed Spine style.

Much like the KZ sheaths I make.

So, it occurred to me that with my liners a sheath from one of our normal makers wasn't going to work unless I shipped it to them :(

The other day my boss asked me what I was going to do for a sheath and I mentioned my dilemma to him. Lo and behold, he tried his hand at Kydex pistol sheaths a while back and still had Kydex and everything but a press :D.

A little reading on our beloved forum, some improvisation and about 3 hours later...voila ;) I'm pretty pleased for my first try.

Very nice job all around man. The liners really set that thing off. Im stuck on mine. Would love to strip but love the black and maroon color combo. I'm definitely thinking I would like a thicker handle tho just not real comfortable with removing my scales.

Yeah. I like the strapless design. I have another brand of kukri and when I pull the knife from its factory sheath the snap on the strap catches the spine of the blade.

Aw man those liners look sick awesome inside the bruiser slabs! Really nice! Was just holding my huck yesterday thinking about a thicker handle on it. Really nice work on the kydex pancake also man! I didn't know strapless retention was even possible w a open back kurki style kydex. What a sweet setup thanks for sharing your pics bro!

Thanks guys! I thought I might need a strap when I started, but it turned out to have great retention. If I try REALLY hard I can barely get it to shake loose upside down.

The liners weren't that difficult, and made a HUGE difference in handle feel :)

Wow! That's awesome!!
Stripped, new liners, and a Kydex sheath too! Rockin sir, Rockin!!:thumbsup:

Just got an open spine sheath for my HUCK from Mr. Brown.....and it is awsome!

Pics pics please :)
