Who's piggybacking their Basic 10 & Basic 4s? How about other piggyback setups?

I'm considering the idea, and was wondering who else is planning on doing it, or better yet, already has?

If you've got pics of a B-10/B-4 piggyback setup, I'd love to see them for inspiration purposes.

I will probably piggyback a B4 on a B11. Don't have a B10.
That reminds me, I need to send an email for a sheath order. :D

Same here... sold off my B10 since the B11 is a proven trusty companion.
I'm not sure if the two will go well together. The B4 is a cool blade, but I feel like it should be narrower, even more so if I'm gonna pair it with a B11 (or even a B10).

Testing...just a temporary set up till I decide how and what I should do. It came with a Becker BK9 that I plan to wrap in Kydex.

Awesome collection of #223. Can't wait to see some of the piggy backs that this thread inspires.

Need2Know,
That look's killer! The 223's are great! Your ready to do some damage :)
I bet you could carry all 4 and it would not be a burden. I think they will pair nicely.

I agree that the B-11 is a killer blade. In preparation for the warmer weather, I'm getting my setups ready. For when I'll be going on a short hike to build camp, I'll be carrying my B-11 on my strong side with my BAD piggybacked to it. For longer hikes, I'm going to carry the B-10 with B-4 piggybacked. I think the B-11 will would likely bother me when traveling long distances because the end of the sheath lands right at my knee. Maybe I'm just too short.

Sweet collection of #223 there Need2Know!

Thanks for the kind words, guys.
I chose 223 because I knew trying to match a set with single digit numbers, etc. would have been more difficult.
It was always my plan to pair a B10 w/ a B4. Makes for nice options and capabilities.
Now, I just have to decide how best to piggy back them. Biggest problem w/ this set up is that the B4 handle should be covered and the blade better retained. It could get snagged and lost as you travel thru woods/brush, etc. I'll have it sorted before I take to any adventure.

I will today or tomorrow :)
Plan on a bunch of piggy backs

I look forward to seeing what you offer. I am still on the fence as to kydex, leather or ??? for these.

As inspired by Steelnut, I plan to piggyback a Swamp Warden on a B-11. Ill post it up one its ordered.

Can't wait to see the Steelnut setup!

I just played around to see if I could piggyback my BAD and B-11. They both came with Mashed Cat sheaths, so I figured they'd play nice with each other and I was right.

I just need two extra rubber spacers and some longer screws, but here's what the setup will look like:

I'm constantly changing the way I carry my blades, and am excited to try this new setup. If I like it, I am definitely going to do the same with the B-10 & B-4.

I'd love to see some more piggyback setup shots if ya have em.

Flux,
That set up looks great. I really like the angle of the BAD sheath.

Garth

Thanks Garth! The angle turned out just about perfect.

I am going to make or buy a drop loop for the B-11 sheath, so unfortunately the BAD might be a bit too low. I'm hoping it works out though, because it is definitely an awesome setup.

I've been playing with the idea of piggybacking my B-4 with the B-11, at least until my B-10 sheaths comes.

The B4 in a sheath that drbarnes made for me lines up with some higher rivets, so I'm thinking it'll work better with the drop leg.

I didn't get to attach the sheath yet, but here is the way it lines up:

Now I need to figure out what to piggyback to my other favorite Res-C chopper - the Dog Father. In my mind, there's nothing I'd rather carry in the field than one of my favorite smaller blades piggybacked to one of my favorite larger Res-C blades.
