I'd have preferred something other than VG-10 but I think I may prefer it over 440C.

I might have to take a closer look ;) Full release is reported for June - $199.99 US MSRP. The satin blade finish is machined, not blasted from what I can tell

"Pocketknife by Boker Plus. The Epicenter was designed by Todd Rexford, a young knifemaker from Colorado, who is a remarkable talent in the world of knife design. In addition to our successful Boker Plus line, this model represents a significant innovative step. Being the first titanium frame lock, this piece reaches a special status within our knife range. The massive titanium plates have a thickness of 5 mm, and are contoured three-dimensionally, offering outstanding performance and stability. Equally impressive is the blasted titanium surface and the finish of the handle (without protruding edges), which make the knife not only a sturdy usable knife, but also a beautiful collector's piece. The modified satin drop point blade is made of VG-10 steel, and features a removable double-sided thumb stud. The titanium pocket clip is reversible, allowing tip-up or tip-down carry, and the lanyard hole adds convenience. An impressive synthesis of technology and design! Blade length: 3 1/2". Overall length: 8 3/8". Weight: 6.5 oz. "

I wasn't even aware of this knife. I'm thinking that I'll definately be taking a closer look at it. It looks like something I could really live with.:)

Good looking knife and, hopefully, a reasonable street price. Too bad I'm left-handed.

So far, all I know is 5mm Ti slabs and VG10 blade steel. I can't find the blade thickness or the Rockwell yet. Based on other Boker Street prices, this might be in the $140 to $160 street price range. Possibly.

wow looks like the genuine article. what are the materials?

This knife looks great but at 6.5 oz its a little too heavy for me. Kinda dissappointed-if it was around 5 oz I would get it.

I would hope that the blade is at least 4mm thick, 5/32", .157", and I really love the squared off rear end of the knife. I've found myself going for the big rear ends here lately. Mostly in knives that is, course............................:D

Btw, that 5mm thick titanium converts to 3/16", or .187". Compare that to the Sebenza's ti handles at .150". Should be a solid handful. Hope Boker can get it produced in a reasonable amount of time.
