Who's ridin', what kind of scoot are ya ridin', and what knife do you ride with?

I went out with my 14 year old daughter for a ride yesterday, we put on only 80 miles, but we saw lots of bikes, most of the bikers were carrying knives of some sort so I thought I'd ask, "Who's ridin', what kind of scoot are ya ridin', and what knife do you ride with?"

Me I'm ridin' a vintage 1984 Yamaha Venture and I usually carry a Dozier Toothpick and a Leatherman Supertool on my belt with an assortment of folders in my pocket.
 
Beleive it or not it gets to hot this time of year to ride in Florida and besides teh heat it rains every day:(

When I do ride I carry the same EDC, my beat up trustworthy (so far) SOG FlashII. I ride a 2003 Bourget Black Jack.

I ride a bicycle to work every morning (about 5km), does that count? With my Spyderco Calypso Jr. IWB, no corrosion yet even though its getting really hot and humid in Toronto this time of year.
 
The last motorcycle I had was a Suzuki 550 triple circa 1972. Good bike; very smooth.

I do throw my leatherman into the tool kit on my home-built recumbent; I have an odd mix of metric and standard parts on this thing, and the pliers come in handy!

Don't matter what ya ride so long as your in the wind, I have friends with mountain bikes that cost more than my Yamaha, and they have just as much fun as I do.

I ride an '05 Suzuki SV650S and I've been carrying my Emerson waved 8 w/ me lately, but that can change from time to tome.

I got an old Yamaha that I've never ridden :( (still kicking myself, don't even know if it starts) that my uncle gave me, he used to ride motocross. I'm pushin a 91 S-10 Blazer 4wd 4dr that is sucking gas, and I plan on either getting a Tundra or Silverado. I have an old ten speed, may have to upgrade that as I get thinner.
 
Riding a '99 Kaw ZRX-1100, although it's been getting a little toasty here lately and in my pocket today I'm carrying a Benchmade Osborne.
 
I have a Litespeed Tuscany with Campy 9spd and just bought a Giant Trance 3 full suspension. BTW, that bike is a blast to ride.

I was carrying a Cold Steel 3" folder along with my pepper spray, but now just carry the pepper spray. I figure if I ever have to use the pepper spray and it escalates, i wouldn't want to have to explain it to the cops why I used a knife. Or worse, the guy takes it from me and uses it on me!

Sadly my riding days are over. I from the old school so you know what I rode. I envy you guys riding with the wind with no cares. Just talking about it brings back memories of great times.
 
i ride a fixed gear, franken-bike conversion. frame is a fuji, fork from a takara, misc. cranks, wheels, parts. all found in the trash ;)

and these days i'm EDCing my buck strider 881T. still waiting for my SNGs to come home from the shop :'(

Mine is a Bianchi Veloce with a Campagnolo drive train. The cycling shorts I wear don't have a pocket so I carry no knife.
 
My front end is going on today. I want that damn thing rolling by nightfall. :mad:

I carry Dodo (or 722 when I feel like it), SAK, Leatherman. When I'm working on it at least. :D
 
'04 Suzuki Volusia. I don't generally carry a knife (you guys probably think that's wierd). I do try to remember to take a clean pair of socks when going on multi-day rides. :)

'97 BMW R1100Rt When I want to put on some serious milage and have some comfort.
'01 Suzuki GSXR 1000 For those times when i need a speed fix.
'03 Felt F65 For those times I need to pedal and stay in shape (all the time)

I usually carry a folder BM710 HS or a Chinook 2 when riding in addition to a 1911.
When I am pedalling I usually carry one of the above folders (however I am considering a Bitteroot) in addition to a Kel-tec P32 in my jersey.

Btw- I rode motors for a few years before moving to special investigations and was on a KZ1000P (great police bike) and the slower but more stately H-D Road King (FLHP?) Still carried a folder but I didn't have to carry my gun concealed.

thats what IWB and H1 steel are for. :)
