has posted pics of his survival/camp knife and sheath pics. He has a S&R ID card in the pic along with it. I'd like ya to post a list of gear you keep in/on your sheath.

Thanks :D

Uhm; maybe me?

So there's a Heavy Heart knife in the sheath.
In the pouch is typically:
  • 550 cord
  • A small hunk of PVC pipe containg an "S" needle, thread and another needle or two
  • Pitchwood
  • Metal match
  • Zip ties
  • Couple of nails
  • Diamond sharpening rod
  • Metal match case with odd repair bits, fish hooks, etc.
The larger orange pouch contains a day/night smoke/flare, the smaller pouch (behind) has an aerial flare.
Some extra 550 cord dangles of the bottom.

I think that's about it - the idea being that this is what I consider a 'base' layer, so even if I have to drop my pack, I can at least get a fire started and a shelter built.

Hope that helps...!

Youre that fella, River. Thanks alot.

ETA: I asked cause I needed ideas on what to put in my new fancy pantsy sheath that came with a CRK GB my friend bought me. Figured I'd go straight to the source. So far I have lots of matches, 6 tinder cubes, mischmetal, fishing kit(hooks, sinkers, 150' of line), 40' snarewire, arkansas stone, 3 square ' of al. foil, SAK gentlemens knife(think thats its name) and 40' or so of string.
