Need to get this wrapped today and under the tree. Not sure my wife really wants them but I can use them and YES I AM ALSO GETTING HER STUFF SHE REALLY DOES WANT. Aren't they pretty?

And thanks again to Guyon for showing me the easy and (latest?) way to put pics up here.

I really want a set of them and I asked the gf for them, so I'm really hoping they are under the tree. It sure would be nice to throw all our crappy kitchen knives away!!

That seals it. I'm buying my wife a new fishing rod and a shotgun. :D
Guys, these things are sharp. I mean sharp. Take care with handling, washing, etc.
 
they're quite nice. i gave a set as a gift.
 
I've given two sets so far. I LOVE mine. I haven't had to really sharpen them yet at all, I just did one quick pass on a honing steel after breaking down a LOT of food at the restaurant.
 
I think they'll be a hit Col. I've been thinking of picking up a set of these for the woman.
 
I'd be thrilled to have this set. My Chicago Cutlery does the job, but they are pretty meh in the looks department.

yeah yeah. the internet is still on... i expect to get swamped soon, so was warning y'all.

until then, study with breaks, not particularly modding, just scanning for tidbits. as in, not hours a day just when i have breaks, or in the evening.

carry on!
 
Damn. I really want that top one. It's a great blade design, Ethan sure knows his stuff.

But I don't really feel like paying 60€ shipping for a kitchen knife.

Those 2 Santoku blades are my two most used. I thought the boning knife would see very little use, but I've actually found it comes in quite handy when it fits the job. The chef's style blade is so light and well-balance, it's stupid-fast on vegetable prep. Seriously, I've been working on my prep skills quite a bit to cut down the time it takes me to do those tasks when I cater meals at our church and it is the fastest chopper I've used, even in my slow hands. Granted, I've not used many high-end blades, but I'm faster with that one than with any of the Shun blades that I've had a chance to try out.

They're quite sharp, too. My wife is actually afraid of them, since she got cut one of the first times she used them. Now she reverts back to the crappy Chicago Culery chef's knife all the time. I touch mine up with a fine-stone on the Sharpmaker once every week or two and have never felt that they've lost their edge mid-job.

Anyway, you're right about not being worth the additional 60€ in shipping, but hopefully someone around you will start to carry them.

Hope you're right Murph - they've been around here and hidden for a week now and just yesterday we were talking about who wants what for Christmas and she announced that one thing she DID NOT WANT was those "Becker kitchen knives". Maybe they will just have to be for me?
