Who do you guys want to see do some hard core testing and reviews of a top secret sharpening device?

I have a few to test and need some tough results posted within 30 days.

Post here who, and why the person you pick should be the one to test them.
(you can nominate yourself)

I'll send them to you, no pictures, no talking about them until we post the test results that here on the forum.

I only have a few prototypes any takers?:D
 
....don't forget - you were supposed to send those of us who were at the Blade Show some of those !!!

I'll test and review one. I can take it into the swamp across the street for some seroius field testing, as well as do some sharpening at home:D

Put me down for one, if there are any left. I'd like to try something that might help me sharpen my Busses more effectively :D, rather than dull them more effectively. :rolleyes: Let me know here, and I'll email you my address.

I nominate myself. I think I'm a good candidate for several reasons:

1) I really suck at sharpening. I think it may be more significant if someone who sucks at sharpening can achieve excellent results with a sharpening system than if someone who is good at sharpening achieves excellent results. If I can put a sharp edge back on a dull knife, it shows that the sharpening system in question is easy for any doofus to achieve good results with. This is an aspect that would go untested if you test this sharpening device only in the hands of skilled sharpeners. You need at least one awful, unskilled sharpener; and I meet those requirements extremely well.

2) I'm a methodical and careful tester. I conduct tests well. I'm observant. Thus, my results have a good likelihood of significance. I'm good at objectivity, too.

3) I'm an able writer who can communicate my results articulately (when I'm in the mood). This can lead to more informative reviews.

4) Who else here has tried attaching their Battle Mistress to a club and using it as a pole-arm, with super-leveraged full-force, two handed, overhead swings into dense, dry, dead hardwood limbs?

I'd love to, but alas, don't scew my onw stuff up too much. I usually get everyone else's stuff to refurbish.

But, since Andrew has done such a good job at the "other" Busse site, why not him??;)

I give myself half a vote and two to Andrew. Go Andrew!

He is the only one here, besides Cliff, to have broken a Busse, a Basic 5 IIRC.
Being that a picture is worth a thousand words, here is his new Groovemaster (after two weeks :) )

Owen is very knowledgable about edge geometery, has reviewed several knives, is honest and objective.
I think he is the perfect choice.

I could do a review after beating the snot out of one or two of my Busses, in fact I have a Euro 4 that is in need of Sharpening. If my BAIII would ever get here I could destroy a few things and then resharpen it with this device and see how long the edge holds up while I destroy some more stuff. :D :D

If the test come back with good reveiws every one will be able to get one soon.
