Whose knife comes with the best packaging and manual?

That's easy.

The new Sifus Mike and Spark are shipping.

No manual, packing material is an EXCELLENT Bladeforums T-Shirt.

Kewl.

Kershaw. Comes with torex wrenchs and a blown up diagram of their folder.

As for manuals. I think "becareful, don't cut yourself" should suffice.

I thought you all would like the BFC T-Shirt packing material. Since you all are not buying the shirts I have to use them for something

I second tallwingedgoat on Kershaw. They even include some extra screws and washers on certain models.

Man, I wish Benchmade included some torx wrenches with their stuff. Those little screws aren't going to move for a long time.

I don't think Kershaw is including instructions, tools, and parts with the newer models. Sure was an excellent effort, though. gets my vote.

I like the Chris Reeve packaging. My knife did not have the box, but I have seen them.
Simple yet elegant.

The box that my Kabar short USMC came in was nice. Another nice one was the box for a 'Slim Premium' Old Timer, 61OT, a 4in stockman with rounded bolsters and a large blade more like thick muskrat blade than the traditional thicker clip. It was a dark brown two piece box with a white cardboard slip cover, and the plastic bagged knife rested in some blue flocked cardboard. The box was quite a bit bigger than the knife, which is unusual these days as most want better shipping density. It's a discontinued model that I found in an older display case.

I like the boxes you get with $2400 Microtech's: plain white cardboard. I think it's hilarious. But at least I have a few signed by Tony Marfione. Ooohh aahhh…

$2400 for a Microtech, come on that's got to be a typo?

My Boker/Nealy came really nicely packed. Hinged gift box with separate formed cutouts for each component. And thorough instructions on the different aspects of the MPS system. I was really surprised after paying a heck of alot more for knives in plain white cardboard. Boker set an example here that I wish others would follow.

This shocked me, but the nicest box with the best packaging info I have ever seen is on my little gimmick Myerco Rascal Cut & Strut knife.

Blackie Collins' knives are all packaged exceedingly well. He even has some tin boxes and nice inlays.

Surprised me.

I personally like my knives to come in a nice box with lots of info. Leatherman products are packaged well, too.

Sometimes a manual would be very handy. Look at all the questions that get asked and answered here! I have been contemplating for some time working up a manual for the Sebenza. How to disassemble, reassemble, lube, tie the lanyard, etc. There`s just a ton of questions that users want to know!

I would love to see more detailed care and feeding instructions for new knives.

Spydie, we should talk, I have been assembling a Sebenza FAQ in my copious amounts of free time.

I'd have to say that the red plastic mesh sleeve my Paragon UDT came in was special. After I determined it wasn't a bag of onions. The manual was rather terse though: "Push button to open."

My real favorite is another Paragon knife, the Cobra. The box is covered with that color-changing stuff... and inside the knife is packed with cotton. Zilch for a manual though.

Leatherman does a nice job too.

I have a Helle pukka that comes in a beautiful little box with knife and sheath displayed side by side. There is a small booklet explaining how the blades are triple laminated and there are some sharpening instructions.

I also like the Marble knife boxes. Very attractive and maybe collectible.
