Whose not goin' to Blade '07?

Every year I keep plannin' on goin' and every year somethin' comes up that drains my cash and I can't go.

This year the washer quit, and the refrigerator needed a defrost element, that sucked up all my cash.

If I did make it I was plannin' on buyin' a Sebenza and another Bud Nealy knife, oh well there's always next year.

So who else ain't goin' this year?
 
I'm not going. Like you I've discovered to my dismay that money does not grow on trees. Although I've always loved knives, this year I've also discovered automatic watches and decided to finally start exercising my 2nd Amendment rights.
 
:mad: ....New roof = $ 5,000.00. That money could have been better spent on some nice, new knives at Blade.
 
I will be leaving Thursday afternoon. I love it. Everybody needs to go every year!
 
I would like to, but I can't. The price of a transatlantic journey would cost a bit more than I can handle this year. :grumpy:
 
Redguy, I was out your way last June, I'm home sick, I miss the food, the wine and my family, none of whom will be attending the Blade Show.

Redguy when I was out there I was looking for a Magyr Paratroopers knife, it's supposed to be able to be flipped out of the scabbard with a flick of the wrist like a throwing knife, ever heard of this knife and if so do you remember what it was called?

My family lives near Gyor in Kunsziget, maybe next trip home we could meet and talk knives.

Any good Magyr made knives there, everything was pakistani or from somewhere else.

The Blade Show in Atlanta, if it's not the biggest, it's one of the biggest Trade Shows for the Knife Industry, Custom and Production interest are represented by some of the nicest people in the Knife Community.:thumbup:
 
I try to go every other year....have been three times.

This year, have vacation with wife in Japan during autumn, she likes Sumo.

Fair trade off, I think.

Not going this year (again). If I don't have to replace my car (again) or transmission (again) or computer (again) or any of the other crap that happens to me constantly, maybe I'll be able to get there next year ;)
 
I'm not going, but then again, I have never been

Hope I can make it some time in the future though
 
I don't have enough $$$ for a plane ticket & hotel room OR the vacation time.:(

Someday, I'll see Blade AND the Aquarium.

i wont be going this yr, just dont have the time, hope to soon though, i have never been to a big show like that.

Although quite OFF here, but that knife is often called "Furkó-féle dobótőr". There is a military-shop in Budapest, on the Bocskay street (11th district) where I saw it.

ON

and I don't go to Blade either :)
 
I will be back to Blade in 2008. The last couple of years some important things popped up around the dates of the show and I had to pass.
