I found this shotgun at my local gun show this morning. I was looking for something inexpensive to kill garbage with. It's ugly, and needs some stock work (maybe just epoxy, probably a new one soon), but is otherwise in good condition. The thing is, nobody I talked too has ever heard of the company, Niagara Arms Co., and I'm having trouble finding any tidbit of info on it's existence.

Does anybody here know anything about it?

12ga.
Single-barrel
Top-break
26" barrel
nickel plated trigger, guard, and hammer.

It has the words ElectroSteel and Choke Bored running along the top of the barrel near the breach. A search on word Electrosteel brought up a farm auction of a "JF Stevens" single shot 12ga shotgun. I think "JF Stevens" was on the tag on the gun, but it isn't anywhere on the gun, and the tags were taken off.

Thanks in advance.

Edited to add- everybody I talked to includes: the folks who sold me the gun, the guy I went to the show with (who has an encyclopedic knowlege of that stuff, one of the guys doing the 4H raffle, and the 20-odd guy's who asked me "what's that shotgun you've got there?"

I wonder if "Niagra" was a store brand, like Montgomery Wards' Western Field shotguns?

i would think its an old cheap stevans single bbl from wards or some hardware store chain back in the day, IIRC i have seen/heard of niagra but darned if i remember where...........

That's what I have gathered as well. it looks like a copy of a stevens model 100, except for the chrome plated trigger guard and trigger.
