How did Spyderco arrive at the 20 degree angle for the Sharpmaker? I think it was recommended for swords in "The Book of the Sword." Does that have anything to do with it, or did they just do a bunch of tests on their own? It seems to work fine, but I used steeper angles when I did all my sharpening free hand.
