Based on CPM's spec sheets, 420V is better compared to 440V in terms of impact toughness, corrorion resistance, and abrasion resistance. Why then is Spyderco using 440V over 420V? Is it just becuase of ease of manufacturing or is there actually a performance benefit seen by the ELU with 440V over 420V in conflict with the CPM data?

Cliff - It took some time to figure out which wheels to grind CPM440V. We've done some 420V, but we're still testing. If 420V proves significantly superior, I am sure we'll use it.
