Why am I seeing sponsored adds in TapaTalk?

I have a gold membership as well as the paid, pro version of TapaTalk and yet I keep seeing adds appearing as open threads.

They appear as an open thread in random forums and are labeled as sponsored advertisements brought to you by Yahoo.

Because they are tapatalk ads, not Bladeforums ads. You are using the free version and they need to get paid somehow, so they serve you up ads the way BF does to registered users. ;)

I am getting the tapatalk ads also, and I am not using the free version of B/F. When punch up DO NOT SHOW THIS AD AGAIN, they do it anyway. How can you get rid of these parasites?

Tiguy, I wish I knew. In the case of Tapatalk, there may be an option set to show ads. I have a high certainty that it is not being pushed by BF. Can you use TT on other forums to see if the ads are persistent? That would help to narrow down the possibility.

I have the paid, pro version of tapatalk, and the adds are only seen on BFC.
Strange, the first time I saw it I thought someone was using the Yahoo logo as their avatar so I clicked on it and was inundated with links to junk knife sellers.
Glad to know it's not BFC and I will post on the tapatalk forum to try and get to the bottom of this.

It's a setting that the forum owner can change to stop these ads:

Spark may not be aware of this. This post is hidden in a thread he may not have time to read through. You could PM or email him about it.

I'll leave that to the OP to pursue. I did my due diligence as an inquisitive pursuit.

We certainly aren't seeing ad revenue off tapatalk. That said, based off of our traffic they may have chosen us for ad testing.
