I've just been shopping around and haunting the exchange. I've especially noticed Liu Kang's knives on JerzeeDevil and I just want to know the reason why FBM's are so much cheaper. More around? Does the NM treatment increase the price that much? What is the reason??????????

only the CGFBM's are considerable cheaper. You're probably looking at aroun 600-675 for a FFBM that is coated. I think the satin finish is where you see the big price difference with NMFBM's being about $200 more

because he marks the NMFBM's up alot more % wise, and probably they are different finishes or handles

A better question would be...

Why are everybody else's knives soooooooooo much cheaper than Liu Kang's?:rolleyes:

Do your homework, exercise a little patience when looking for the knife you want...and save youself a lot of dough.:thumbup:

um with his knives add 2 to $500 more than what busse charges, (but he has nice knives on hand), just more than most people charge for them

Weren't the NMFBM's bigger than the standard FBM? I only have a NMFBM, but it is a HUGE hunk of steel!

NMFBM: longer blade, but not as thick

FBM: less "meat" in the blade, but more grinding needed

NMFBM: ball bearing rub down

FBM: no ball bearing rub down

FBM: needs grinding (scalloping) on the spine for that shape

NMFBM: just has the rolled edges of the spine, which is covered above
