Hi,
Just wondering who goes through and decides which pictures to take out of the knifemakers gallery. I have noticed that some pics I have posted have been removed and I am not the one who has removed them while certain other makers have had the same pics on it seems for a long long time without having them removed. Does it go by responses to the particular thread? Once no one replies for a while does the system take the pics out or does someone else come in and decide who stays and who goes? I understand that once they are sold it only makes sense to remove them from the "for sale" area but the "gallery" is our place to show knives as long as we are under our allowable limit for space (which I am) and is what I personally found appealing about the membership here. Some knives get up over a thousand views and are still on there while others with less get taken off....... I also noticed the sticky note and the posts I speak of are no where near a year old. I did however post this in the wrong forum so i apologize for that. I don't know how to move it to the service and support forum.

Just wondering  .

That's a new one on me Mike.
I've never had a pic removed by someone else, in any of the forums.

Mike, I don't think it had to do with the pruning.
Don't know what the problem is or was. Sometimes computers do some odd things.
Maybe you stored them on BFC server????
I'm hoping that you go back to some of your older posts and edit them to put the pics back. I was searching for some more pics of your stuff and didn't see them. Not even a red X...

I use photobucket.com as my picture server and then tag them into my post.
I just sent on the ATS34 in the passaround and it is a GREAT knife...

do you host your own pictures
I'm thinking if you host your own pictures they won't get pruned..they take up no more space here than the text in the HTML it's posted with..

if you down loaded them you are only allowed so much band width.
plus the time on as with the pruning..
