I was just wondering. Why are SFNO's so hard to find on the secondary market. I know what everyone is going to say is that they love them and don't want to let hem go, but c'mon.

Were not many made?????

I haven't seen one come up for sale in the past year.

Best Seinfeld impersonation: "What is the deal?"

rjd , no hog will answer you, they dont want it be known that they have one or two or more..:D :D

Hunter,

I actually didn't miss that one. I was looking for a Satin Finish NO and that post was for a "Special Forces" NO. I was confused over that one at the time, but I figured it out with some help.

Now that I know how rarely satin NO's come available, lookin back, I probably should have jumped one it:( Hindsight is 20/20:D

Oh, I recently scored a satin finished NO, a ZTNO in mint condition. Here at the foums of course. Came with a Mt. Mike sheath to boot. And it has that swedge in front, one of 30 I think? I love it. :D

I have a SFNO and it's one of my favorites. I also have one of those rare grind ZTNO's (1/30) and it is soooooo nice. Light and wicked sharp. The NO is always a favorite. It's just a great size. Kukula, all of the ZTNO's had a swedge on the top. It was part of the ZT design across all models. The rare grind has the swedge come down the the primary grind making more of a spear point. Most of them had a nice swedge but one that leaves full thickness for about 1/4 to 1/2 inch between grinds. Badmojo has comparison pics. It can be hard to tell the difference because they are awesome looking.

I wanted one badly and posted in the Want to buy forum, someone offred their reguar SFNO for $550:eek: I'd rather wait for the next time they come around and pick the combination I want. They'll be back.

Me too, I'd like to try one but at $500+, I'll wait. If I could find one at a "reasonable" price I'd snatch it up in a heart beat.

I would wager you are looking at a minimum of a year before we get the chance at another SFNO, probably more like a year and a half. Being that it was the first release and there are several other models to cycle through before we come back to number one, not too mention additional models Jerry decides to slide in there, like the War Boar and AK-47.
