Why are there so many Annuals showing up in the exchange with blue thump studs?

I always thought the annual Sebenza came with a gold thump stud, the exception being the 2011 which came with a silver stud, am I wrong?

I actually did not know that the Annuals are limited to Gold / Bronze and Silver thumb studs. Now that you've mentioned it, this is the first time I saw one with blue thumb studs indeed...

When I saw the blue one on the most recent annual posted, I was very surprised. My guess is Frankenknife. I can't see how they sent that out the door in blue and not gold. No birth card is pictured in a way it's readable.

Off the top of my head I think I remember 2 silver thumb studs. Never a blue. All the rest gold.

Is it possible for someone to send an annual to the spa and they replace the gold stud with a blue? I 've seen two annuals FS in the last tens days with blue studs, funny.

Or the original owners asked CRK to replace the thumb studs with blue ones as the damascus blade was probably ordered later on..

Anything is possible I suppose. Im sure there would be factory paperwork to support it in that case.

It looks very out of place, I can't imagine the blue studs coming with any of the annual knives without a special request. All the one I have ever had are gold or silver.

I would guess they were replaced from CRK, the one that sold had silver lanyard pin and a silver lanyard bead. And you know it didn't come from CRK like that.
