I've been wondering why there were two different ESEE logos? The Junglas, Lite Machete, ESEE-5 and Junglas Laserna all have the skull and cross-knife logo while the 3, 4, and 6 all have the ESEE half-stop sign logo. Is there a reason for this?

the "hald stop sign" logo is the New ESEE logo. all new blades esee makes(including izulas, 3,4,5,6,junglas and lite.) will have this logo. if it doesnt have that logo, its a knife from before the name/logo switch

jeff said that the ones with the skull and cross-knife logo are geared towards survival whereas the others are for general purpose.

They have, in essence, 4 lines of products now under the ESEE umbrella. There are the knives with the "half stop-sign" logo, the ones with the skull and crossed knives, the Izula line (currently the Izula fixed blade and the AH-1) and the DPX Gear line. Each has a slightly different approach to it. :)

I personally like the skull and knife cross logo. It's a great reminder of your other option to survival. (and we all know what the alternative to surviving is) I really wish I could get this logo on al of my knives as I am in the process or getting all of the ESEE knives one by one.

That explains it better than I can, but I will try to elaborate a little more ;)

The skull logo falls under our survival / E&E knives. (the ESEE-5, Junglas and Lite Machete). The reason for the skull is it's a symbol of how you will end up if you don't train and have the right gear. The ESEE-5 was designed by Air Force SERE instructors and the Lite Machete, well, it's a machete (which we consider the best survival edge there is).

Randall's Adventure & Training (training and survival classes) also uses the skull logo for obvious reasons

The Izula line is designed as small, lightweight EDC tools. Note that the arrowhead has the Bullet Ant logo on it, as does the Izula knives.

The ESEE name is more of a general umbrella that encompasses all of our Rowen made knives. So, Izulas and the Skull logo knives are still under our knife company name of ESEE.

DPx is expanding into other areas that will include multi-tools, folders etc. All of this is under Robert Pelton.

Now, to further complicate things :D we are incorporating under another name. You will not see that name much since it's an "umbrella" incorporation with everything above falling under the umbrella. ESEE will always be ESEE Knives and be the name of our knife company and Randall's Adventure & Training will stay as is on the training side. The incorporated name will be used for some other overseas projects we have going on and as our legal name when it comes to day-to-day business matters that have no bearing on our DBA names.
