Is it just me, or do you guys think it would be neat for Lisa to actually sign and date her creations too? I think it would add to the "collectability" of the knives as well. I'm kind of curious as to why she hasn't signed any of them in the past (at least as far as I know anyways). After all, she does create art, it's just in a different medium than the average artist.

What the heck... Let's consider this as a petition to get them signed! All in favor say AYE!!!

Nah.

I don't care much for the idea of knife makers/creators signing their wares. I think that the CRK logo on the slab is enough. :)

I agree. IMHO, one of the things that attracted me to CRK folders is their elegant simplicity. Some of that would be lost if Lisa (or anyone else for that matter) began adding their signature or adding other superfluous markings. ;)

I guess I should have stated that the signature would be on the inside of the decorated handle piece. I agree that adding anything to the visible artwork would be too much and most likely take away from the artistic quality of what Lisa produces.

My thoughts as to why Lisa ought to sign her work is two fold... First, it is a permanent mark of authenticity and date of who actually created the piece of art, not a piece of paper that can get lost. Lisa won't always be the one who produces the art (I believe that there have been others in the shop who have produced the decorated pieces already). Does anyone know which ones Lisa did and which ones were produced by someone else? And second, it is a show of respect from ownership/management, to Lisa, for the artist that she truly is. After all, isn't a signed piece of art or craftsmanship a legacy to it's creator? Lisa is being denied her legacy to a degree, don't you think? Maybe Chris and Anne feel that there is enough credit being given to Lisa simply because the pieces are credited to her on the website as Lisa's picks
