The patent for the Blackie Collins Bolt Action lock is long expired, so why aren't there many knives made using it? I know about the Sage 3, I'm just wondering if there is a reason for its unpopularity among knife manufacturers.
people have moved onto bigger and better things, plus it probably has more parts to machine then other locks that can be more easily produced ie spydie BB lock or Axis, wouldnt mind seeing more of them though.
It's not actually a bolt action, it uses its own distinct variation. Look at the Spyderco Sage 3 I mentioned in the first post to see the lock I'm talking about.
