why can't access exchange?????

I was trying to post a WTB for s whet stone under gears and gadgets. I have had no trouble ever since I signed up.
Why am I being denied access? What rule have I violated?
Would really appreciate expediting this since I do want to make a purchase ASAP rather than order online somewhere else.

I keep getting a message saying I am not allowed to post here which may be due to not having priviledges to make a post. I have been on this website, which is my favorite for knives, for long enough that I have got to have enough priviledges unless I am in trouble for something I did without knowing I was doing something wrong.
 
Were you posting a new thread, or a reply to a thread?
 
A new thread. I think for some reason though it is now working. I thought I had unintentiionally broken a rule and that is why I was not allowed to make a post.
 
Restricting posting privileges would be a big deal, and you would have gotten a clear notification of what was happening. Highly unlikely you'll see anything of the sort.

But as long as it's working now, we don't have to worry about it. :)
