Why can't I post a new thread on the Around the Grinder forum?

It seems that I can start new threads just about anywhere, but when I try to start a new thread on the Around the Grinder forum I am locked out? :mad: Its a pretty basic forum for us non paying cheap skates.

However, after visiting BF I am thinking about upgrading to a paying member. It hinges on whether I am going to keep my internet connection. Having had internet for nearly 8 months I may keep the service. On the other hand the internet is very expensive both in time and money.
 
Even if you upgrade your membership, you will still have to be a knifemaker to post in "Around the Grinder". ** Woops I was wrong, you could post if you are basic member or above.
 
Why? Because that's the way the knifemakers want it. Originally they asked for a forum just for them, but then they changed their minds and decided to allow other paying members in too.
 
Thanks for the input here. Finances are a juggle around here, but I'm sure before long I will go for a paid membership. Good site, informative and very entertaining.
