Hello all. This might sound like a gripe, but I'm genuinely curious if I'm missing something.
Why do I constantly come across pictures in knife reviews of people holding their knife and squeezing it so tightly that their hands turn pale and veins bulge?
I see it constantly.
I can understand showing an image of someone holding a knife to show how the grip might fit or referencing the contour or palm swell. The knife makers here on the forums are great with showing and describing useful info about their work.
It just seems there's so many average joes trying to strike some sort of Rambo pose (and usually failing) to show off.
Is the person just overly excited? Are they trying to appear more macho or manly?
Is there something that I am missing? Can you actually glean anything useful from these types of pictures?
