Why no plain blade version without serrations from Taiwan or china?

I know the sfa version was made in america as Google found me a post here from 2005 or so with Kit Carson verifying that. So I'd rather not debate whether it was or wasn't made in america. ....more about why crkt stopped making in america and why no plain blade versions in the special forces versions. Thanks in advance for any info and insight. It's appreciated.
