Why did I wait so long?

SO, I own 8 now 9 Emerson knives. They are by far my favorite brand. I finally bought a standard CQC 7 the other day and am now wondering why I waited so long? It would have saved me a lot of money searching for the ONE, because now I have it. Thanks for a great product Ernie. Hope to see you at a show or expo again some time.

Here's an unrelated question. Do you know if you are related in any way to Ralph Waldo Emerson? I asked because he's in my lineage.

Thanks again...

I have just picked up my first two Emersons. Both of the 7 variety. I received my second one Friday, the stonewashed serrated edge version and took it with me camping. I didn't really work it all real hard but I did cut a few things. Especially some of the brush around my tent and of course some nice sausage and a few other odds and ends.

Really enjoying the heavy duty feel and wave opening feature.

I agree with you. If you only needed one knife, the CQC-7 would be my choice. I can field dress deer and bear with it as well as EDC. The flat blade is a great for so many tasks.

I love my 7, its too small though

I know there's a Super CQC-7, but they're WAY expensive, and there's not wave-less model available.
