I've been carrying a Tanto Groove off and on for about 2 years, and always thought to myself, one of these day I'll pick up a regular Groove to go with it. Well when Thomas posted the list of discontinued knives with the Groove listed, I decided I had waited long enough. I looked around and saw that Dave (Kershawguy) had the best deal by far on them in his Factory Seconds thread, so I ordered one.
When it showed up in the mail my first thoughts was why did I wait so long to pick up one of these. It had the same great ergos and sturdy lock up with a smoothness I didn't get with the Tanto version. Actually it's one of the smoothest liner/frame locks I've ever seen, right up there with my Ti JYD, and my Mcustas. On top of all that the machine work is just beautiful, something you don't get to see on the Tanto version due to the coating. The only negative I saw with it is that the edge was more obtuse then I like, but a few minutes on the paper wheel fixed that. If I wasn't trying to restrict my knife purchases some I'd pick up a couple more of these. If you don't already have one of the beauties, do yourself a favor and pick one up.
