Why did Kasper knives switch to G10?

Looking at the Kasper fighting knives made by Polkowski, I noticed that the Bulldog and Pug both originally came with Micarta handles. But the Scorpion and Companion originally had G10.

Anybody know why G10 was used on the Scorpion and Companion? Why the switch? Was there a performance reason?

Technically speaking, one of the properties of G 10 is that it is denser than micarta. And has a slight weight increase. The performance qualities may not differ at all. Unless one plans to put the scales thru severe impact tests. Sometimes the maker switches up handle materials for no particluar reason. Or the demand for a flat pattern finish is preferred over one that shows swirls after contouring- micarta.

Leo- nee ho mah? :D
